Recently we were invited to try out Triple O’s latest Secret Menu option, called The Triple Triple.
Part of the White Spot chain, Triple O’s isn’t usually a place we dine anymore as adults — mostly due to their slightly obscure locations, but we thought we’d make our way out to their Kitsalano location and give this bad boy a try.
In celebration of White Spot’s 85th anniversary, Triple O’s is offering this hidden menu item, and well… let’s just say it’s not for the faint of heart. ¾ lb of triple beef patties, three slices of (processed) cheese, lettuce, tomato and Triple “O” sauce topped with triple dill pickles, this baby is enough for two people to share, or at least it was in our case.
Flavor wise, the Triple Triple was extremely meaty, and very cheesy. If that’s what you’re looking for in a burger, you’ll probably love this — but for us, the meat to condiment ratio was just a little too crazy. Call us wimps, but we thought it needed more veggies!
Priced at just $9.99 for a combo complete with a regular sized soda and fries, value wise the Triple Triple is pretty reasonable. And since you gotta be in-the-know to order it, you’ll likely have gawkers in the restaurant wondering “what did he order?”
