Hot Chocolate Festival @ Terra Breads

Today we popped into Terra Breads in The Village at False Creek. It’s been some time since we’ve walked around this area, and it was nice to see shops finally open and quite a few people walking about, despite the rain.

Terra Breads have one selection on the Hot Chocolate Festival menu, and it’s called “Stand Up and Stout”. Hot Chocolate with Cacao Barry Extra Brute Cocoa and R&B Brewing Dark Star Oatmeal Stout, topped with house-made stout marshmallows, and served with an oatmeal raisin cookie.

Coming in at just under $5, it was a tasty treat and the perfect excuse to get out of the rain. Two different women in the cafe asked me what drink it was, so it’s clearly got some curb appeal.

The drink was lovely, but not much of the stout flavour came through, other than in the  marshmallow, which was pretty amazing once it melted down a bit.

“Stand Up and Stout” is available until January 31st, so get on down to Terra Breads to give it a try.
