This morning we headed to Terra Breads on West 5th to try their newest creation in the Hot Chocolate Festival — it’s called “Cherry Bon Bon”. Ooh la la.
“Cherry Bon Bon” is a hot chocolate made with Cacao Barry Extra Brute Cocoa and sour cherries, topped with a house-made sour cherry marshmallow, and served with a pecan fruit crisp.
The drink was nice, with a mellow taste that wasn’t too sweet. We’d wished more of the sour cherry flavor that was in the marshmallow had been infused with the chocolate. Maybe another marshmallow could have achieved this! We know for next time.
Here’s Jeremy, diving right in.
We also grabbed a loaf of freshly baked sour dough bread, as it’s Adrian’s favorite. This is a great spot in the Mount Pleasant area, and we like that it’s sort of tucked away from the main strip — so it isn’t always crazy busy.
Terra Breads delivered for us on both of their hot chocolate creations this year. We suggest you stop in and give “Cherry Bon Bon” a try for yourself — available now until February 14th.
